Regulating our body

WUJI EXPLAINED

Wuji (part of Qigong philosophy) is a state if neutrality or emptiness, and is the stance taken before any other form or movement begins.

Emptiness allows alignment of our body so that our feet stand firmly rooted on the earth, and the crown of our head lifts towards the heavens.

In Qigong philosophy the human body is viewed as a conduit between the heavens and earth, with Wuji as a template. A template through which Yin (earth) and Yang (heaven) energies can begin to flow into and through our body.

MONKEY MIND BECOMES BALANCED

It is said that when there is Yin and Yang, there are thoughts and feelings on our mind. If we can still our mind, we then can enable ourselves to return to the emptiness of Wuji, to a balance. A balance where our mind becomes centered and clear, with a relaxed body.

Wuji Stance Qigong

MONKEY MIND BECOMES BALANCED

For us to regulate successfully during Wuji, we must adjust and tune ourselves until our goal is reached. Only then will root and stability be present. There will be a bit of monkey mind in the beginning as we are focused on the practice of how-to. Thus, real regulating occurs only when we don’t need to consciously regulate.

What does this mean?
